Avoca's 'Blue Pyrenees' Pink Lamb Purple Shiraz Race Day is the perfect way to start your Labour Day long weekend.
The Avoca racecourse is located in the untouched Pyrenees, well known for its red and white table wines and this race day provides the perfect opportunity to set up camp for the night and explore this beautiful region the next day!
Head to the racecourse in the morning, find your position around the track and enjoy the day's activities which include thoroughbred racing, live music, food and beverage delights, fun competitions and free kids activities.
You will also enjoy a real lamb feast with a variety of lamb dishes prepared by local chefs, cafes and caterers including gourmet lamb and rosemary sausages, lamb souvlaki, middle eastern lamb rolls, lamb kebabs in pita and Boscastle moroccan lamb & lamb and roast vegetable pies...plus many more gourmet foods including spinach & ricotta burgers, mini beef mignon, chicken pinenut roulade, french quiches, pasties, cheese platters, anti pasto plates (cold and hot), salt and pepper squid, BLT rolls, sweet chilly chicken wraps, veggie burgers, plus something for the sweet tooth....

'Camp In' at the Racecourse
Make the most of the long weekend by enjoying a day at the races, and then camping on-course overnight. Book your camp package prior to the race day which includes:

Avoca is situated 40 mins past
Ballarat on the Sunraysia Hwy. Once in Avoca turn left at Mobil
service station, follow road for approx 3 km, then make right
hand turn (is signposted), follow road until racecourse turn
off.

No Personal Shade Structures or Umbrellas
No BYO alcohol
No dogs or other animals
No personal BBQ unless permit from CFA is faxed through to Club prior to the 22nd of Feb, 08.
