When are the races in season 1011?
Saturday 16th October 2010, Caulfield Cup Day (PJA & Blue Pyrenees Avoca Cup).
Monday 25th April 2011, ANZAC Day (Mount Avoca ANZAC Day Races as part of the Pyrenees Festival of Racing & Tasting).

How do we get to Avoca?
Avoca is situated 40 mins past Ballarat on the Sunraysia Hwy. Once in Avoca turn left at Shell service station (if coming from Ballarat), or straight through if coming from Maryborough or right if coming from St Arnaud and follow road for approx 3 km, then make right hand turn (is signposted), follow road until racecourse turn off.
Avoca is easy to get to by car, train or bus.
- By Car – Directional signage will assist you to the racecourse.
- By Train – Train travel from Melbourne to Ballarat – contact VLine 13 61 96. The catch bus from Ballarat.
- By Bus –
Coach travel from Ballarat – contact Gold Bus on 5335 5005. 
Individual tickets $20 return trip – various pick up locations around Ballarat.
Private buses can also be booked for large groups.
Cup Day Early bird offer: Admission and return travel on Gold Bus for only $33. Saves $7pp. Offer available until Wednesday 6th of Oct. Bookings through Gold Bus on 5335 5005.
Coach travel from Maryborough – Maffescioni Bus Lines (03) 5461 2838 - $10 return trip.
Shuttle bus from Avoca and surrounding towns – will pick up close to accommodation for a small fee, call Power Bus Lines on 5465 3119 to book.
Many groups charter their own bus to come to the races. Groups can purchase admission tickets in advance at a discounted rate of $15 per person by the 6th of October.
Where do cars and buses park?
All patrons park free of charge within the racecourse, please follow directions from our parking attendants as this area may change from one race meeting to another.
What tickets are available?
PJA & Blue Pyrenees Avoca Cup: Admission is $20 / $15 concession (student and pensioner cards are accepted). Children under 16 are admitted free of charge when accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Patrons can pre-purchase their admission tickets for just $15 per person. The deadline for this is the 6th of October. No admission tickets can be refunded. To book call Vanessa Briody on 0402 9979 26 or CustomerFirst on 1300 139 402.
Mount Avoca ANZAC Day Races: Admission is $15 / $10 concession (student and pensioner cards are accepted). Children under 16 are admitted free of charge when accompanied by an adult.

What time are the races?
Racing and activities on each day start at approximately 12noon and finish around 5.30pm. Gates are open from 10.00am on Cup Day (bars open at 11am) and 11am on ANZAC Day (bars open at 12noon).
What type of food is generally available on-course?
You will be able to buy food on-course from a range of fresh food vendors. Alternatively you can bring your own food. Patrons can also pre-order hampers through the Club. Catering packages are also available for those in marquees.
Please note BYO alcohol is NOT permitted inside the racecourse.
Are there BBQ facilities on-course? No, but this is something the Club are looking into.
Can patrons bring their own BBQ on-course? No, these are strictly prohibited.
Is there a Mothers Room on-course? No
Is there pram access? Yes
Where is the First Aid room located? Behind the Secretaries Office
Is there sufficient shade on-course?
Trees are available near the food court and in car park areas and there is also a grand stand, function centre and bar. Shade is not available trackside and therefore the Club recommends patrons hire a marquee structure or become a member if concerned about shade. NO personal shade structures are allowed on course.
Is Public seating available?
Patrons can sit in the grandstand, otherwise can bring their own tables, picnic blankets and seating. There is plenty of green grass available. Members have plenty of seating available in the members enclosures and bar.

Are there EFT facilities on-course? Yes, in the tote building.
Are there dress standards in the members’ area? No, but we suggest “country casual”
