Privacy Policy

The Avoca Shire Turf Club (ASTC) has adopts this Privacy Policy wherever possible to ensure that it handles private information about individuals responsibly. The Privacy Policy may be amended from time to time.

Personal Information:
ASTC holds and uses personal information about its customers. Typically this information includes a person’s name, address, date of birth, gender, occupation, email address and any other required information. This information is needed to maintain ASTC records in a format that identifies a person. These records are held by ATSC for the purposes of enabling ASTC to provide services to its customers which includes the promotion of ASTC events which at the same time may include sponsors information & offers.

Collection of Information:
ASTC usually collects this information from the person directly.

Use and Disclosure:
Personal information held by ASTC will not be provided to any other organization and not used for any other purposes other than the purposes described above and related purposes expect when the individual has consented to the use of disclosure.

Access to Personal Information:
A person can access his or her own personal information by contact the ASTC. At any time, a person is able to take their details off the ASTC database.

Win Tickets to ANZAC Day Races & Winery Bus-A-Bout Tour Competition

1. Entry is only open to Australian residents.
2. Committee members, employees and contractors of the Avoca Shire Turf Club and parties associated with this competition are ineligible.
3. Promotion commences at 12.2.10 and closes at 5:00pm on 15.4.10.
4. Only entries via the ATSC website join our database, will be accepted.
5. The winner will be randomly drawn on the 16.4.10 at 11:00am.
7. The winner will be notified within 4 days by email or phone.
8. Information provided by you, including email address, name, postal address and phone number may be used by the Avoca Shire Turf Club (ASTC) to assist in the administration of ASTC events.
9. ASTC may also use your personal details to send you information about other events held by the ASTC.
10. The ASTC will not provide your details to anyone outside of those who are directly involved with organizing ASTC events.
11. If you do not wish to receive any information from the ASTC, please either complete your entry with the word STOP, or otherwise, upon receive a marketing material, reply STOP or call Vanessa Briody on 0402 9979 26 or vanessa.briody@bigpond.com with a request to be taken off the database.

Payment Terms & Conditions for Hospitality Bookings

For bookings with a total amount under $400 (inc GST) full payment is due upon booking. For those over $400 (inc GST), a 25% deposit is required upon booking with the remainder due within 21 days of the booking or otherwise 10 days prior to the event, whichever comes first.

Cancellation Policy

If for any reason, this booking is cancelled by the customer the following conditions apply:

More than 10 days before the event – 25% cancellation fee applies. If the booking has not been paid in full, the deposit will be lost. (NB This fee is transferable to any ASTC event in the same racing season).
Within 10 days of the event – non refundable.

If for any reason the Racecourse cancel the race meeting the following conditions will apply:

Cancellation of the meeting prior to the start of racing, the Club will recover its costs and refund balance to Marquee Holder.
No refund is payable once racing commences
