Volunteering

The Avoca Shire Turf Club are leaders in local community involvement. With over 180 volunteers contributing to their race days, the Club is highly regarded in this area within the industry and region. The Club are proud to boast:

Over 130 volunteers who help the Avoca Shire Turf Club on and leading up to their race days.
All 14 members of the committee play important working roles on the day and are very involved leading up to and after an event.
Various sporting, community and emergency services groups use the race days as a platform to raise much needed funds.

The tourist dollars injected into the local community over race periods and from repeat visits help sustain the Pyrenees region. Volunteering for the Club contributes to the success of the race days and supports the local community.
